Privacy and anonymity in the Digital City Monitor

Your experiences help your municipality improve digital working. You must be able to share those experiences freely. That is why participation in the Digital City Monitor is anonymous. Below you can read how we handle your answers.

Who carries out the research?

The Digital City Monitor is carried out by Yorizon B.V. Your municipality distributes a general questionnaire link among employees itself. Yorizon does not receive an employee file for this and does not have your name, email address or other data from the personnel administration.

Is the questionnaire personal?

No. You receive a generic hyperlink, not a personal invitation link. You do not need to provide a name, email address or personal account. The link contains no personal code that could link your answers to you.

Can my manager see what I filled in?

No. Your municipality receives results at group level, in the form of scores and overviews of the most important improvement points. Your individual answers are not reported back by name. The research is intended to improve digital working within the municipality.

How are my answers used?

Your answers are combined with those of other participants. Together they provide insight into what is going well, where employees experience obstacles and which improvements can deliver the most value.

How do you handle open answers?

In the open text fields you can share compliments, experiences and improvement points. Preferably do not mention names or other identifiable details of yourself, colleagues, residents or businesses.

Yorizon checks the open answers before reporting back to your municipality. If they nevertheless contain names or other directly identifiable personal data, we remove or anonymise them. We also look out for descriptions that could indirectly make someone identifiable. Where necessary we adjust the text or omit identifiable details, while preserving the substantive message.

Does Yorizon have access to other information from my municipality?

For this research Yorizon does not receive an employee file or access to the personnel administration. We process the answers that participants provide themselves via the questionnaire.

Are results shared with other municipalities?

If your municipality participates in the benchmark, only aggregated and anonymised research results are used. Other municipalities do not get access to your individual answers. The benchmark becomes available once at least twenty municipalities participate and sufficient reliable comparison data is available.

Where is the research data stored?

The research data is stored on servers in the Netherlands. For the research Yorizon uses professional, ISO 27001-certified tooling.

Do you have a question about your privacy?

Contact Yorizon via digitalegemeentemonitor.nl. When asking your question, preferably do not include sensitive information or your full answers from the questionnaire.
